Adecco Creative and Marketing is recruiting a JR Product Development Manager for a national gifting company in Brooklyn, NY. The Product Development manager to support Product Development within their pet division.
Salary expectation: $80,000- 85,000 a year. Schedule would be 3x a week onsite in Kensington/Brooklyn, NYC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing: Help with product sourcing research and development requests for PD team by communicating with overseas factories
- Sample Management: Responsible for requesting, receiving and reviewing all development and pre-production samples
- Product Specs: Help to write and spec production notes, including selecting elements of a product – colors, finishes and accents.
- Proofing Production Art: Collaborate with design team to ensure all art is accurate before sending to factories.
- Factory Management: Manage factory costing sheets for retailer presentations, included reaching out to factories to obtain quote sheets
- Sub-Category management: Manage development for 1-3 sub-categories. This includes conducting product research, product development, retailer presentations, product specs and sample approvals.
- Product Development Guidance: Create guidance for design team to execute new designs (including print research)
- Trend Research: Research and create trend pages for department-wide seasonal trend brainstorms.
Qualifications:
- At least 3-4 years of experience with sourcing, production and/or product development
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to multi-task in a very fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills
- Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
